Leah Michelle Hamilton, LMFT

Leah received her M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Institute of Family Studies at Biola University and Rosemead Graduate School of Psychology in La Mirada, California, which is known for their integration of psychotherapeutic techniques with Scriptural principles into a Christian counseling model. She has been in private practice in Orange County for 35 years working with adults, adolescents, children in play therapy, marriage counseling, and family counseling.  

Her emphasis in childhood development and attachment has made her a highly effective child therapist, coach for developing parenting skills, and capable therapist working with adults who have experienced abuse or trauma as children.  She has specialized in children’s play therapy during her entire practice. Leah’s passion is to help strengthen marriages and help individuals reach their full potential and balance in their relationships and vocations.  She is valued in the community as a consultant to churches and businesses for leadership development, conflict resolution, and morale building.  Leah also contributes articles for local publications.  You may read one of these in the Resources tab. Leah has been a dedicated parent to their three daughters.  She loves playing tennis, basketball, and biking.  She enjoys traveling to places around the world with her family, but especially enjoys meeting people in different cultures and learning about them.  Leah is an accomplished pianist having produced 6 CDs and 4 books. She just released her 6th CD, “Glass" May 1, 2021.
